In any case the coronavirus epicentre is shifting to Africa within 2 weeks by the 1st to 2nd week of May. In a pandemic, you are always lagging- this is just basic pandemic science. In essence whatever is public now already happened 2-3 weeks back. And it is always way worse than what you see now because the data is always lagging. Africans should not have a false sense of safety.
This is especially so because of the infectiousness rate of Coronavirus which is 3x that of normal flu and especially since it is transmissible in non-symptomatic patients.

Common Flu’s infection rate (IR = ~1.2 i.e it infects about 1.2 additional people per patient infected) so after 10 transmissions 14 people are infected: 1 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 = 14 people infected after the 1st person.
Coronavirus’ infection rate (IR = ~3 i.e it infects about 3 additional people per patient infected) so after 10 transmissions 14 people are infected: 1 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 = 59,049 people infected after the 1st person.

And yes this disease kills Blacks. African -Americans are dying at 2x rate of their representation in major US cities.
Given the kill rate of 12% in Italy, up to 120M Africans may die from this disease if aggressive action is not taken now.
For example, Nigeria is already seeing an uptick in deaths.
African governments must mandate universal wearing of face masks and gloves, NOW!

African governments must mandate universal wearing of gloves and masks. At @rxall_inc we have been on front-line in China. It works.
As per testing, the Chinese did not test everyone. Rather they tested at risk groups and people who came in contact with covid-+ patients. Testing is very expensive and should be targeted rather than universal just like the Chinese have done.
African governments should study and copy the actions the Chinese took including mandatory evacuations and centralized isolation of all Covid-positive patients including all those they came in contact with. Stop HOME ISOLATION. I cannot repeat enough- copy the CHINESE!
All Health Care Workers must demand and refuse to work without Personal Protective Equipment- masks, gloves and coveralls. They must treat all patients as infected and mandate they wear this as well. Health Care Workers must treat all patients as though they are already infected. Don’t be careless. Use plastic and garbage bags if you have to. Improvise! Protect Yourselves!

The death rate in USA of over 30K could have been lower if they copied the Chinese in aggressively tackling this Coronavirus disease.

I respectfully disagree with the issue of the gloves as there is no data to prove it does anything with reducing potential transmission. People hold their phones with the same glove hands and hold the same phones after they take off the gloves. The advise rather should focus on providing motion sensitive hand sanitizing stations in most establishments.
People should be encouraged to take off the gloves when they are home. Gloves work the same way masks work- preventing hand to face transmission. When you say no data- what exactly do you mean? There is clear evidence it worked in China. You should pay more attention to what was done in China rather than just throw out there that there is no data. I am sharing our frontline experience in China since December last year.
