The burden for the West is that they will have to take care of the places, peoples and the earth they have exploited in order to continue to maintain the quality of life they have created for themselves in their protected homelands.
The feedback is slow but it will eventually catch up – poverty will diffuse into places of wealth and the earth will eventually resolve the pressure it has been put into from its unprecendented industrial scale exploitation.
If the “leaders of mankind”, who have assumed top dog postion through force of a unified purpose, strategic grandscale deception as well as through their relentless pushing of the technology frontier; and who have forced their way of life on the rest of humanity leading to a global scale rat race built on an unsustainable growth based economic system, fail to deal with their hubris, they will eventually have it catch up with them.
It may take 100 years or 1,000 years or 10,000 years but the earth and its poor people will reclaim what has been taken from them.
There will be no escape.
