Poem: I too am one of them

I came from the hot lands of Africa

To the snow lands of the North

Land of the natives taken from them

I come to partake

Complicit too I agree in their exploitation

But I too , my land is exploited I say

So am only taking part in what’s was done to me

I too am one of them, yes I know

I cannot deny who I have become

The face of those who I detest.
